As bloggers and content creators, we were saddened by the discontinuation of physical events as this nasty virus spreads like wildfire. Brands and organizations eventually came to a solution – that of carrying out events or announcements online or virtually.
Thus, the birth of online webinars, E-parties and virtual mediacons. It’s cool. Better than nothing right? But there are restrictions as to the number of attendances it can accommodate. Still, it’s for the best. And we shall always adhere to the safety protocols given by the authorities.
So, when this invitation for an actual physical event came, I hesitated at first. But what made me eventually gave in is the fact that I terribly miss my colleagues, physically. Although we see each other on social media, nothing beats face to face encounters where we can see each other’s genuine smiles and endless laughter! Besides, we (for the few of us) made sure that just like soldiers, we are all armed with the perfect ammunition. Face masks, face shields, alcohol and disinfectants – we all had them ready! So, off I go to what would be a safe and fun-filled party with my friends I dearly missed!
AVP Bloggers Party is an annual gathering of bloggers, content creators, writers, and influencers. It aims to create new and exciting content that can help brands get more visibility online. It’s a personal project of Ann Purificacion, who is an advocate of helping small and medium enterprises.
This annual event started as Ready Set Blog last 2016 in KL Tower Residences as a small gathering to connect bloggers. Two years later in 2018, in partnership with Selah Garden Hotel, Ready Set Blog 2.0 was conducted. Participants learned more about improving blogs, SEO overview, phone photography, and a lot more.
AVP Bloggers Party 2019 held at the Plantation Bar in Makati created another buzz as new and upcoming bloggers joined the event. International and local brands also introduced their products in this event.
Then last year, 2020, Covid-19 made its presence felt. As I mentioned, this pandemic changed the way we do blogging but through the help of generous sponsors and official venue partner, the Selah Garden Hotel, AVP Bloggers Party 2021 pushed through. We all had a blast with the games and raffles prepared. I was not able to taste all the food spread on the table because there were a lot! Also, brands got to talk more about their products and we all had new stories to share with our readers.
I was able to join in the celebration only this year but I know that AVP Bloggers Party is set for bigger things to come. Congratulations, Ann Purificacion and Maiko Dungo!
